At Trinasolar, we are redefining sustainability in the solar industry. Our Vertex series incorporates advanced module technology to reduce the carbon footprint of installations by 20%. This achievement validated by third-party certifications, including the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Certificate and Carbon Footprint Certificate from TÜV Rheinland, confirming their low carbon footprint.
Beyond product innovation, Trinasolar also leads the industry in sustainability certification. We were the first solar company to receive LCA certification for 210mm modules and pioneered Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and carbon footprint certification for n-type modules. These milestones set new sustainability benchmarks within the solar industry, reflecting our proactive approach to environmental responsibility.

Cutting Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Trinasolar's Approach to Sustainable Manufacturing
Sustainability is at the core of our growth strategy. We aim to transition to 100% renewable energy in our global manufacturing and operations by 2030. In 2023, we made significant progress reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 42.74%, and decreasing emissions per unit of production for cell and module products by 61.47%, compared to 2020 levels.
Our dedication to sustainable development extends beyond meeting stringent international standards – we strive to exceed them. This dedication led our Vertex Super Factory in Yiwu to become the first in the PV industry to earn a Zero Carbon Factory Certificate. The factory implements a green zero-carbon supply chain covering product design, carbon footprint management, energy management, equipment modification, process upgrades, and digital intelligent management system optimization. These resulted in a reduced lower carbon emissions intensity by 4%in 2023 compared with the previous year.
Leading Sustainable Development: Trina Solar's Industry-Wide Impact
Trinasolar supports sustainable development not only within our own operations but throughout the industry by fostering a resilient and sustainable value chain. One notable example is our Photovoltaic Manufacturing Innovation Center, which collaborates with 18 upstream and downstream entities to build an enhanced solar ecosystem.
We also champion ecosystem sustainability through cross-sector collaborations and green supply chains. As a founding member of the 600W+ and upgraded 700W+ Photovoltaic Open Innovation Ecological Alliance, we work with industry players to enhance supply chain efficiency, boost production, and lower costs.
One of our latest initiatives involves the standardization of solar module dimensions. Known as the “Golden Size,” these standardized dimensions (based on Trina Solar's 210R middle-sized modules) utilize 98.5% of container space, reducing transportation costs and emissions while optimizing packaging, installation, and design to minimize material waste.
